During a new interview, the singer opened up about her relationship with her father after she shared a very harsh but private message of his on social media. Bebe Rexha revealed that ever since she posted some sexy pics and released her provocative Last Hurrah music video, she and her dad haven’t spoken.
While on SiriusXM Hits 1 Morning Mash Up, Bebe admitted that her art has created real tension between her and her dad and that they are no longer on speaking terms as a result.
‘I love my dad. He has not talked to me in two weeks. I posted a pic of me in Mexico, and he was also upset because I posted a picture on Instagram of me laying on my bed… suggestive, there was a cross above me. I was inspired by Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer,’ it is just art. I think that my dad looks at me like his daughter and I understand. It is like, ‘Dad. Please do not hate me. It’s art,’ I understand.’
The star claimed that she really tried to reason with her mom and dad and even made a compromise, changing her music video a bit, but things still took a bad turn.
‘I changed it up to be more respectful for him and my mom. It’s still obviously a little edgier, and it’s art. My dad loves me and I love him, I’m just scared to go home tonight.’

The celeb did feature quite a few edgy scenes but it looks like the ones she cut out of the video featured her on the bed with the cross above her, aka the stills she had previously posted on social media.
