‘The X Factor’ 2017 runner-up Grace Davies has been unveiled as the headline act for upcoming event Magnitude Live, taking place on 18 March at Northumbria Institute (Northumbria University).
Speaking about her appearance at the event, Grace said:
‘I am super excited to be performing at Magnitude Live this year! I can’t wait to perform to a Northern crowd again and meet all of my Newcastle supporters.’
The event will feature up and coming artists in the UK music industry, with artists such as Emily Middlemas, Mikey Bromley, and many others, performing.
Grace Davies will replace George Shelley, who was originally due to headline the event, but pulled out, saying that he felt he wasn’t ‘ready to perform just yet, for a number of reasons.’
He released a moving statement on to his Twitter account, whereby he also assured fans that he was working hard on new music:
The announcement of Grace Davies’ headlining the event comes several months after her finishing in second place on ‘The X Factor.’ She made quite the impression each week, with her performances of original tracks such as ‘Too Young’ and ‘Roots.’ Whilst on the show, she was mentored by Judge Sharon Osbourne.
The talented singer-songwriter will also feature as part of ‘The X Factor Live Tour,’ along with a host of other contestants from the show. The tour starts on Friday 16 February in Belfast, and will travel arenas around the UK and Ireland.
