I'm Kevin Harts older brother and was exiled from family for gangs and drugs now Im a worl

Robert Hart hit rock bottom when he was exiled from his own family by his mother - but he has since turned things around.

While his younger brother Kevin would go on to find fortune and fame as a comedian and actor, Robert could not stay on the right side of the law.

When he tried to rob an old lady's purse, it broke his mother Nancy's heart and she went to court to legally emancipate him from the family.

It was a tough upbringing for Hart, whose father was in and out of prison and had a cocaine addiction, and it led him towards a life of crime.

He became embroiled in drugs and gangs on the streets of Philadelphia, something his younger brother Kevin managed to steer clear of.

However, since his criminal days, Hart has turned his life around and has rekindled his relationship with his family - as well as becoming one of the best pool players in the world.

The 51-year-old has gone sober and often spends time with his brother and being an uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Talking about his relationship with his brother, Kevin Hart said: "My mum gave my brother a fair amount of freedom.

"Any mistakes you could make as a teenager, he made.

"And then there was two. It was just me and my mum.

"The way that my mum saw it, she was too lenient on my brother.

"She figured if she could keep me off the streets, I wouldn't turn out like him.

“We were not as close when we were younger.

"However, as time went by, I became closer to my older brother. So he’s now my sole brother and best buddy.”

With the World Pool Masters set to get underway in Brentwood this month, Essex, Hart will make his way to these shores to showcase his skills on the pool table.

And he also hopes to compete in the UK Open at London's Copper Box Arena as well, ran by Barry and Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.

The two sport moguls have big plans for pool and want to boost its popularity alongside darts and snooker.

Hart has ambitions to become the very best in the world at the sport and wants to use the two tournaments in England to heighten his own reputation and step out of his brother's shadow.
