The junior home cooks welcome the Kidz Bop Kids to the kitchen. The kidz will be up on the balcony watching the next Mystery Box challenge, and the Kidz  Bop have chosen the ingredients. The boxes contain some of their favorites; sweets, chips, cheese, meats, and vegetables. The cooks have one hour to make a Master Chef quality dish and there is a huge advantage going to the winner.

Gordon calls up the three dishes that the judges want to examine further:

1. Jaala made a No Bake Cheesecake with cookie sandwich crust and strawberry-raspberry jam. Aaron says it is delicious, so beautiful, fun and inventive.

2. Reid made Cookies & Cream Panna Cotta with strawberry coulis. Christina says she could eat it for days, he has exceeded her wild expectations.

3. Che made Chicken Parmesan with tomato sauce, kale, and fried mozzarella. Gordon says it is delicious and loves that he put the cheese inside and used crushed potato chips as a coating.

The home cook with the best dish is Reid. Che and Jaala head up to the balcony.

Reid gets to save one home cook from elimination, he chooses Aaron. Gordon tells them to head into the pantry.

The judges show the home cooks their favorite foods as a child. Christina; cereal, Aaron; cheese and Gordon; canned tuna.

Aaron tells Reid and Aaron that they have to choose one of the judge’s childhood favorites for the rest of the cooks to use, they choose canned tuna.

Malia made a Tuna Roll with vegetables, fried tuba, and fried avocado. Gordon says it is incredible, seasoned beautifully and looks like it just came out of a Japanese restaurant; she is in the top 10.

Kyle made Tagliatelle with Puttanesca sauce, tuna, and ricotta cheese. Christina says the sauce itself is really spicy, she doesn’t get the tuna.

Che made Nicoise Salad with tuna cake. Aaron says it is wonderful, he loves the texture from the cake and the salad. Great job.

Sadie made Tuna Croquettes with aioli, frisee salad, and fried vegetables. Christina loves the flavors and thinks it is the most elegant dish made out of a can of tuna.

Matthew made Pan-Seared Tuna Cake with southwest salsa. Gordon says they are delicious, it’s a good job.

Jaala made Tuna Cakes with bean-corn salad, salsa, and chipotle aioli. Christina loves the spice level, the tuna is moist, nice job.

Ben made Thai Tuna Curry with coconut jasmine rice. Aaron says it is not very appealing, the curry is a little muddled, the tuna fell short.

Brielle made Tuna Pot Pie. Gordon knows she forgot to put the tuna in and added it in the end by lifting the crust. The rue is not there, the pastry is raw. Gordon says it is not her strongest performance.

The best dish of the night belongs to Malia.

Kyle, Brielle, and Ben are in the bottom three. Ben is safe.

Brielle and Kyle are out of the competition and going home.

THE END!
