Ryan Buell is an American paranormal investigator, author, and producer. He was the host of the show Paranormal State.

He was raised in Sumter, South Carolina. Ryan has described himself as “Native American and Italian.” It is not clear if this Native American ancestry has been verified/documented.

Ryan’s paternal grandfather was Eric D. Buell (the son of Eric Loyal Buell and Edith Victoria Crawford). Ryan’s grandfather Eric was born in Pennsylvania.
