After months of rumours, from Kylie Minogue to Danny Jones to Jessie Ware, the line-up for the new series of The Voice UK has finally been announced.
The line up sees 3 returning coaches taking their seats as well as a brand new coach to start spinning on the famous chair.
Tom Jones, Welsh singer and OBE holder, is back for the seventh series. Sir Tom has been on the panel since series 1 before taking a break in 2016, back mentoring the contestants again in the last series. Tom says: ‘I’m excited to hear and see what undiscovered talent the UK has to offer this series’.
The line up also sees Grammy award-winning artist, Jennifer Hudson, return to her seat after winning the last series with her contestant Mo Adeniran. Jennifer says: ‘I can’t wait to be back discovering new talent on Season 7’.
Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am also returns after being on the show since series 1. Will says: ‘It’s time for the grown-ups auditioning for The Voice UK season 7 to really step up their game’.
After Gavin Rossdale leaves the show, the new coach added to the line up is Olly Murs. Olly says: ‘I’m excited to mentor new artists and without a doubt, I’m in it to win it’.
Of course, the brilliantly talented Emma Willis is back fronting the show, after saying: ‘It’s an absolute treat to work on The Voice UK’. But also last years finalist, Jamie Miller returns to the show as the shows backstage digital reporter, taking over from Ceallach “Cel” Spellman from last year.
The first stage of filming kicks off this weekend in Salford, Manchester with The Blind Auditions being filmed down at Media City UK. You can apply for tickets to be in the audience here http://sroaudiences.com/.
